Statusphere is a woman-led product recommendation network that helps people discover products they love from people they trust. The Sales Intern will gain hands-on experience in working with exciting established & emerging brands. They will get an inside look at the whole sales cycle in a marketing tech company (from gathering prospective leads, landing them as eventual clients, to engaging current clients for resigns).
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for sales pipeline development by increasing lead acquisition on behalf of sales team
Contact cold and warm leads by sending customized internal email sequences with the goal of booking a sales call with the sales team
Source & prospect qualified new leads (ideal clients for Statusphere) from various sources using Internet research, social media, advertisements, conferences, etc.
Vet appropriate contact person to pitch via email by conducting thorough research & validating contact’s email using Hunter.io (or similar software provided by Statusphere)
Must refrain from pitching leads that are not a fit as clients for Statusphere
Must ensure the same brand or contacts have not been previously pitched by using CRM software
Must meet minimum number of pitches emailed quota on a weekly basis
Maintain strong knowledge of Statusphere ideal client archetypes, internal case studies, campaigns/service offerings, pricing plans, promotions and service features
Improve knowledge base for prospecting and ideally increase sales lead acquisition overtime
Develop knowledge of overall influencer marketing trends and competitive landscape
Create & send emails to leads that are error-free from any spelling or grammatical mistakes
Exceptional level of attention to detail coupled with strong written & verbal communication skills
Self-motivated & possess strong time management skills, personal organization & interpersonal skills
High-performer with an ambition to learn the business of influencer marketing and how it relates to client goals and overall sales efforts at Statusphere
Positive team player & problem solver with the ability to act and react in a professional manner
Previous marketing agency experience preferred (but not required)
Hourly Paid Internship + Uncapped Commissions
Spring 2022 Internship
Working Hours Required: 2-3 full-time days (10AM - 6PM EST)
